Ryan Loomis is a Research Analyst at CNA. His research has focused on PRC efforts to shape foreign information environments, PRC actors' behavior in the maritime domain, and PRC media responses to US operations and activities worldwide. Prior to joining CNA, Loomis worked as a teaching and research assistant at Stanford University and later the Hoover Institution, where he focused on US-China relations and activities in the Western Pacific. Loomis has a bachelor's degree in Mandarin and international relations from Colgate University and a master's degree in East Asian studies from Stanford University, where he was a FLAS Fellow. He studied Mandarin at Peking University in Beijing.
