Richard Rosenfeld, Ph.D.
Richard Rosenfeld, Ph.D., is an expert in the study of crime trends and criminal justice policy. He currently serves as a senior fellow in CNA's Center for Justice Research and Innovation. Rosenfeld's recent research topics include crime rate changes during the COVID-19 pandemic and social unrest around police violence, and the relationship between the opioid crisis and homicide rates. Prior to joining CNA, Rosenfeld was the Curators' Distinguished Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Missouri - St. Louis, a position he continues to hold. Rosenfeld has a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Oregon.
