
Kevin Ng, Ph.D.
Kevin Ng's work explores military manpower issues, including recruiting, education, training, retention, program evaluation, and mental health. He has directed projects focusing on access to Reserve Officer Training Corps programs, mental health at the service academies, and the Marine Corps aviation training pipeline. At CNA, Ng has also studied recruiter mental health, Marine Corps force structure, highly technical enlisted ratings, and factors that limit recruiting, retaining, and promoting servicemembers. Ng currently serves as CNA's Scientific Analyst to the Marine Corps Recruiting Command. In 2023, he received CNA's New Analyst of the Year award.
Ng earned a doctorate in economics from Cornell University, where his research focused on labor economics and the economics of education. At Cornell, Ng served as a research assistant in labor economics and a teaching assistant. He received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
