
Steven Habicht
Steven Habicht is an expert in technical project management, system engineering, and analytical support to modernize complex systems and integrate emerging technologies to improve the delivery of public services. More than 15 years of his career at CNA has been devoted to applying this expertise with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He specializes in air traffic management, integration of new entrants such as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), scenario and use case development, information exchange and management, system design and requirements analysis, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
At CNA, Habicht has developed system capabilities and architectures for systems, operations, and standards designed to improve the collection, validation, storage, exchange, and dissemination of data and information for IT systems. As a lead systems engineer, he has coordinated the development, implementation, and testing of operational systems and research prototypes across the FAA. He received the 2023 Board of Trustees Award and the 2022 CEO Teamwork Award at CNA for his achievements in emerging technology implementation.
Habicht has a PhD in analytical chemistry from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and mathematics from North Carolina State University. He is a Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) through INCOSE and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through PMI.
