SECURITY AFLOAT, GROUNDED IN SCIENCE
Surface Warfare Program
< Back to Systems, Tactics, and Force Development
CNA conducts analyses to ensure that U.S. Navy surface ships have the most effective warfighting systems and tactics. Commands rely on independent CNA assessments of how ship systems perform, how to improve that performance through tactical innovation, and what new systems to procure to enable high-end fleet capabilities. Enduring projects include integrated air and missile defense and the interoperability of tracking system data — crucial to the fleet-wide deployment of the current Link-16 network.
Most of the work products from the Surface Warfare Program are classified or have distribution limited to the Department of Defense. Visitors with appropriate credentials can find these reports on the CNA SIPR site.
