Exploring Racial, Ethnic, and Gender Disparities in the Military Justice System

Do data reveal differences in military justice outcomes according to race, ethnicity, or gender? Is bias contributing to disparities in military justice? CNA investigated these questions and more in a congressionally mandated study that was extensively cited by a Department of Defense internal review.

Leveraging Existing Training and Educational Assessment through the MAC Process

CNA helped the Army develop a tool to leverage the assessments that soldiers take throughout their military careers for other purposes. The Mapping Assessments to Competencies, or MAC, process, critically evaluates whether an assessment created for one purpose can be used for another purpose.

Population Representation in the Military Services

For over 10 years, CNA analysts produced the congressionally mandated report, the definitive source of demographic information on military personnel. CNA keeps an archive of Pop Rep reports back to 1997.
