CNA Operating Status Codes
CNA's operating status is Code P: Pandemic
Employees can work from home, but must be responsible for coming to the office to get work done that must be performed in the office, such as classified work or providing support services. Also, employees who wish to work in the office are welcome to do so. All safety protocols that have been established for the pandemic situation must be followed while in the office.

  • CODE A:  NORMAL OPERATIONS
    Building open, all office support available, liberal leave not in effect
  • CODE B:  LIBERAL LEAVE
    Building open, office support reduced, liberal leave in effect, no administrative leave provided
  • CODE C:  LIMITED OPERATIONS
    Building open, office support suspended (except building security), administrative leave provided
  • CODE D:  CLOSED
    No access to the building, no office support (except building security), administrative leave provided
  • CODE P:  PANDEMIC
    Code P stands for “Code Pandemic” and is utilized when the company remains under strict safety protocols in a pandemic situation. Code P means that employees can work from home, but must be responsible for coming to the office to get work done that must be performed in the office, such as classified work or providing support services. Also, employees who wish to work in the office are welcome to do so. All safety protocols that have been established for the pandemic situation must be followed while in the office.

CNA's default operating status is Code A: Normal Operations. Any change in operating status is only in effect for the date(s) designated in a status-change announcement, after which CNA's status will return to Code A.

Definitions 
“Building open:” CNA's building and parking facilities are accessible by CNA employees.
“Office support:” services that support day-to-day office activities – i.e. security, IT, library, production, etc. 

Note: CNA's operating status applies only to CNA headquarters (3003 Washington Blvd., Arlington, VA). Employees assigned to client sites must follow the instructions provided by the command or agencies at that site and seek guidance from their supervisors or managers.
