USCG Reserve enlisted members were also slightly less likely to be female than were their DoD counterparts—14 and 17 percent, respectively (See Appendix tables C-17 and E-27 for more information). USCG Reserve Black enlisted members were substantially under-represented at 5 percent compared to 12 percent in the 18-49 year old civilian labor force. Asians members are also under-represented at a tenth of one percent compared to nearly 5 percent of the civilian labor force.
