Educational Attainment.  Table 8.11 shows that 86 percent of FY 1998 USCG Reserve accessions had earned high school diplomas compared with 97 percent active Coast Guard NPS accessions and 92 percent of overall DoD Reserve accessions.  The USCG Reserve accessed more individuals, proportionally, with GEDs than did the overall DoD.  Relative to the comparable civilian group, USCG Reserve enlisted accessions were more likely to have high school credentials.
