CNA Welcomes Lieutenant General Dennis Crall, USMC (Ret.) To Board of Trustees
CNA President and CEO Katherine McGrady announced to day that retired Marine Corps Lieutenant General Dennis Crall has joined the CNA Board of Trustees. LtGen Crall is a 35-year decorated combat veteran who served in multiple service and joint leadership roles. He brings to the table expertise in cybersecurity; artificial intelligence strategy; integration of command, control, communications, and computers (C4); and leadership development.
“Dennis has directly advised our nation’s highest-ranking military leaders on challenges and opportunities such as cybersecurity and AI strategy, and we are thrilled to have him on the CNA Board of Trustees,” said McGrady. “His expertise aligns perfectly with our research priorities, and the insights he can offer from his decades of service will further enhance CNA’s world-class team.”
LtGen Crall most recently served in the Pentagon as director of Command, Control, Communications, and Computers for the Joint Staff. Prior senior roles include Deputy Principal Cyber Advisor to the Secretary of Defense and Chief Information Officer for the Marine Corps.
Over the course of his Marine Corps career, LtGen Crall earned a Master of Science in Military Operational Art and Science from Air Command and Staff College and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina. He has also completed the Harvard Kennedy School Cybersecurity Executive Program. He joined the Marine Corps in 1987 and retired from active-duty service in 2022.
