
Ken Bro
Ken Bro is an expert in concept development and aviation, specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other advanced technologies. At CNA, Bro contributes to Federal Aviation Administration initiatives aimed at modernizing the National Airspace System. Investigating technologies such as AI/ML, natural language processing, and virtual reality, he provides analysis on their application within traffic flow management. Bro also supports internal research by developing cutting-edge AI agents.
Prior to joining CNA, Bro was an assistant professor, conducting research and teaching a range of aviation topics. He also served as a chief flight instructor and program coordinator, providing leadership to a large collegiate aviation program. With more than 15-years of experience in aviation research, he has been published on topics such as human factors, modeling go-around decisions, and detecting near-misses.
Bro has a Master of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and a Bachelor of Science in aviation human factors from the University of Illinois. He holds commercial pilot, remote pilot, and flight instructor certificates with 3,000 hours of experience.
