Leslie Scott, Ph.D.
Senior Research Scientist
Leslie Scott is an expert in leading not-for-profit research organizations and is adept at designing, implementing, and managing high-quality, multi-component survey research and evaluation studies. She also excels at conducting education analyses focusing on improving high school and college readiness, and college access, retention and completion for federal, state, local, and non-government entities.
Prior to joining CNA, Scott served in various positions at the American Institutes for Research. Her work focused on conceptualized, implemented, and managed large- and small-scale individual education survey research, evaluation, technical assistance, training, and analysis proposals and projects for federal, state, local, and non-government clients and specializing in researcher compliance with the U.S. Department of Education's Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.
Scott earned a Ph.D. in Applied Social Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago and a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL. She is also certified through What Works Clearinghouse Training on Evaluation Design, and Coursework in Academic Advising.
