Senior Research Specialist
Kalani Johnson is an expert in justice and policing. She serves as a senior research specialist in CNA's Center for Justice Research and Innovation. Her recent research topics include police-community relations, victimization, and technology in law enforcement. Prior to joining CNA, Johnson worked as a research associate with the National Police Foundation on a number of National Institue of Justice funded experimental research projects related to policing, body worn cameras, and community responses. Johnson has a B.A. in sociology and criminology & criminal justice with a minor in international development and conflict management from University of Maryland-College Park and completing her M.A. thesis in criminology & criminal justice from University of Maryland-College Park.
