Kira Cincotta
Research Specialist


Kira Cincotta is an expert in criminal justice research and restorative justice. She currently serves as a research specialist in CNA's Center for Justice Research and Innovation. Cincotta's recent research topics include analytics to improve officer safety and alternatives to policing. Prior to joining CNA, she was a restorative justice panel member with the Burlington Community Justice Center, where she met with offenders and victims to address the harm caused by crimes in the community. She previously worked as an intern with the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, where she worked with the Homeland Security Advisory Council to conduct research and policy analysis to make recommendations on security issues. Cincotta has a B.A. in sociology with a concentration in criminal justice from the University of Vermont.
