Justice and Policing

The U.S. justice system must respond regularly to changing legal mandates, public expectations, available resources, and political and community pressures for action and outcomes. The system must actively engage in monitoring, assessment, and research to effectively respond to legitimate expectations, to learn from and adjust to challenges, and to maintain focus and consistency.

CNA works hand-in-hand with justice system agencies and institutions to provide training and technical assistance that covers a range of justice-related issues, including use of force, community collaboration, technology implementation, rigorous evaluation of new initiatives, training, policy formulation and analysis, and more.

CNA is dedicated to conducting high-quality, action-oriented research to support justice agencies and to rapidly responding to critical incidents and community concerns.
