CNA's National Security Senior Seminar Series To Begin Fall Session

CNA's Senior Seminars are a series of luncheon and dinner meetings with prominent national security experts and senior most leaders from the Department of Defense, Department of State, and other national security agencies.

Three sessions are currently scheduled. Others will follow.

September 2 from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. The Honorable Jerry M. Hultin, former Under Secretary of the Navy; now Dean of the Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology, will discuss "Homeland Security: Assessing the Safety and Security of the Port of New York and New Jersey". This presentation is based on an eighteen month study conducted by Stevens and commissioned by the Smith Richardson Foundation.

September 7, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m Rand Beers, foreign policy advisor to Senator John Kerry and a former CIA and State Department Officer who left the NSC staff and joined Senator Kerry's team. Mr. Beers will discuss the policies and views of what a Kerry administration would do.

October 22, John Lehman will discuss the 9/11 Commission.

Following a brief presentation by the guest speaker, the remaining session is dedicated to discussion and lively debate. All seminars are off the record. As usual, the sessions will begin with a light meal of served at a charge of $7. We hope that you will be able to join us.
