Dov S. Zakheim, Ph.D., a CNA senior fellow, will discuss his recent conversations with civilian and military leaders in Israel and the UAE.

Dov Zakheim joined CNA following his retirement in 2010 as a senior vice president from Booz Allen Hamilton where he was a leader in the firm’s global defense practice, working with U.S. Combatant Commanders worldwide. Dov Zakheim also currently serves as vice chairman of the non-partisan Center for the National Interest and is a senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. He blogs actively for Foreign Policy magazine. His most recent book, published by the Brookings Institution Press, is A Vulcan’s Tale: How the Bush Administration Mismanaged the Reconstruction of Afghanistan.

Dov Zakheim chairs the National Intelligence Council’s International Business Practices Advisory Panel. He is a member of the Defense Business Board which he helped to establish, the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel, the Secretary of the Navy’s Advisory Board, and the Council on Foreign Relations. A 1970 graduate of Columbia University with a B.A., summa cum laude, Dov Zakheim also studied at the London School of Economics. He holds a doctorate in economics and politics at St. Antony's College, University of Oxford.
