Event: CNA Symposium on Amphibious Operations – Aug 16

CNA's Center for Naval Analyses, in partnership with the USMC’s Ellis Group, sponsored a symposium on the future of amphibious operations. Hosted at CNA Headquarters on Thursday, August 16, 2012, this classified event brought together over 100 USMC officers, Navy officers, and civilians to examine the relationship between the Navy and Marine Corps, future operations in the littoral, and the potential concept of “Single Naval Battle.” This symposium was the first in a series designed to prepare the U.S.’s naval forces to respond to future challenges through re-conceptualizing the operating environment.
