Event: CNA National Security Seminar Series – May 31

May 31, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. — Stephen J. Hadley, National Security Advisor in the George W. Bush administration, will discuss the findings of the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force on U.S./Turkish Relations. Mr. Hadley chaired that task force together with former Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright. The task force report, which was released on May 8, urges the U.S. to forge a new partnership with Turkey, a rising regional and global power.

Stephen Hadley is currently a principal at RiceHadleyGates, LLC an international strategic consulting firm along with former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. He is also a senior advisor at the U.S. Institute of Peace and a member of the State Department’s foreign affairs policy board. Before joining the Bush administration, he was a partner in the law firm of Shea and Gardner. He has served in a variety of other capacities in the defense and national security field. Mr. Hadley graduate magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Cornell University and received his JD degree from Yale Law School.
