The role of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in student preparation has increasingly become a priority focus area for policymakers, researchers, and educators. In particular, previous research indicates that policymakers in many states have struggled to align available education and training programs with current and future workforce needs. In response to this issue, the Regional Educational Laboratory Appalachia (REL Appalachia) is pleased to present a webinar focused on REL Appalachia's recently released report, Aligning Career and Technical Education with High-Wage and High-Demand Occupations in Tennessee.
The session will feature the report's lead author, Dr. Christine Mokher of CNA Education and Dr. Gay Burden and Ms. Donna Gilley of Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. The panel will discuss the report's findings, and provide insight into how research can affect both Tennessee and national program practices.
