Event: CNA Air Traffic Management Research Analysts to Speak at NOTAM Industry Day – Oct. 5

CNA Air Traffic Management (ATM) team members Shaelynn Hales, ATM associate director, and research analysts, Drs. Jennifer Bewley and Jocelyn Cox, will be speaking on the modernization of the federal Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) System at the NOTAM Industry Day conference, October 5, 2010 from 9: a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Washington Plaza Hotel, 10 Thomas Circle, NW, Washington, DC.

Conference topics will include:

• Addressing any safety concerns as we streamline NOTAM entry by working directly with airports, commercial tower light operators, and other originators;

• Giving originators the ability to directly enter NOTAMs into the US NOTAM System with the new web-based NOTAM manager tool so they control their own NOTAMs; and

• Improving the speed and accuracy of NOTAM entry
