CNA Education is conducting a study for the U.S. Department of Education’s National Assessment of Career and Technical Education (NACTE), an independent assessment of the effects of career and technical education (CTE).
CNA’s analysis uses data tracking virtually all Florida high school students entering the 9th grade in 1996 and reaching grade 12, as they progressed from high school to postsecondary education and the workforce through the end of 2007. The analysis examines differences between CTE concentrators and non-concentrators on a number of outcomes, including high school course taking, post-high school transitions, college course taking, attainment of postsecondary credentials, and post-school employment and earnings.
The final NACTE report for Congress is scheduled to be released in July 2011.
