Rikesh Nana joined the CNA Education team in May 2012 as a Research Specialist. Nana serves the Regional Education Laboratory (REL) Needs Assessment team and also provides research and data analysis assistance for the Northeast Tennessee College and Career Ready Consortium (NETCO) Investing in Innovation (i3) grant. Prior to his work at CNA Education, Nana served as an intern at Education Sector, where he contributed to “Ready by Design: A College and Career Agenda for California”, a report examining California’s statewide school accountability system along college and career readiness indicators. In May of 2011, Nana received his Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Virginia's Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. Nana’s master's thesis, written on behalf of the College Board, examined the effect of high school high stakes testing on student achievement outcomes including remedial enrollment rates. Prior to his Education Policy work, he served as Assistant Foreign Policy Adviser on the Dan Seals for Congress campaign in northern Illinois. Nana also holds a bachelor's degree in Government from the University of Virginia.
