Hoda Parvin, Ph.D. is a research analyst at CNA. She received her Ph.D. in 2012 from the Industrial and Operations Engineering Department at the University of Michigan and her M.S. degree from Texas A&M University in 2007. Her research focus is on optimal resource allocation policies using Markov decision processes with applications in investment decisions, healthcare, and service industries. She received the Rackham merit fellowship from the University of Michigan to support four years of her study. She is also the recipient of the Bonder fellowship in 2008, the Judith Liebman award for outstanding service in 2010, and the Richard C. Wilson best paper award in optimization in 2011.
