Daniel Jen

Daniel Jen is a research analyst for the Advanced Technology and Systems Analysis division at CNA. After earning his B.A. in Philosophy at UCLA, Jen entered the UCLA Computer Science Ph.D. program, where he researched, published, and gave talks as a member of the UCLA Internet Research Lab (IRL). During his tenure at the IRL, he won the 2010 Best Paper award at the 11th Passive and Active Measurements Conference. Shortly afterwards, he accepted a position with CNA. Jen is an expert on command, control, communications, computers, collaboration, and intelligence (c5i) issues, with particular expertise in computer networks and cyber security. He has worked with the DoD to improve systems such as the Global Broadcast Service, the Host Based Security System, and the Enterprise Network Management System.
