Charles "Shahin" Saloom is a Research Specialist in CNA’s Safety and Security Division. Saloom graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Anthropology in 2001 and from the George Mason University School of Law in 2006, where he focused on interaction of law and economics and was on the editorial board of the Journal of Law, Economics, and Policy. Saloom is a member in good standing of the Virginia State Bar. Before joining CNA, Saloom was a member of the Research Faculty at George Mason University School of Law’s Center for Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security, where he focused his efforts on the development of graduate curricula, degree programs, and certificates in critical infrastructure protection for DHS’ Office of Infrastructure Protection and published several articles in the Center’s monthly publication, The CIP Report. Saloom currently supports projects for FEMA’s National Preparedness Assessment Division, national and local preparedness and response exercise participants, and the New York City Police Department. Saloom speaks fluent French.
