Jeffrey B. Miers, Ph.D.

Jeffery B. Miers, Ph.D. is the vice president and director of CNA Operations and Tactics Analysis, which evaluates current military operations and capabilities.

Before his appointment, he spent several years as a CNA field representative to various military commands. He also served as a research manager, leading a team focusing on combat systems in CNA’s Operations Evaluation Group. The team’s work included analyzing interoperability problems between air defense and ground systems.

Miers earned his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1985, and his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Illinois in 1992. He is a recipient of the Department of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award.
