Dr. Richard N. Cooper

Dr. Cooper is the Maurits C. Boas Professor of International Economics at Harvard University. He previously held positions that included: Chairman, National Intelligence Council; Chairman, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston; Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs; and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Monetary Affairs, as well as professor and provost of Yale University.

In addition to being awarded several scholarships and fellowships in his earlier career, Dr. Cooper is the recipient of the U.S. State Department award for Meritorious Service,, a U.S. Navy award for Superior Public Service, and the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal. He has been a Director and Chairman of the Advisory Committee, Peterson Institute for International Economics; and a director of several organizations in both the public and private sectors. His most recent books include Boom, Crisis, and Adjustment (with others), Environment and Resource Policies for the World Economy, What the Future Holds (with others), Rebalancing the Global Economy (with others).
